POSITION SUMMARY:
- To provide leadership, supervision, and organization to facilitate an athletic program;
- To develop team objectives that strive to win while placing sportsmanship to win while placing sportsmanship and the lessons of sport above winning at all costs;
- To ensure the health, safety, and security of the student athletes at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- In collaboration with the Athletic Director, promotes, supports, and develops a quality athletic program which fosters the best aspects of spirited competition;
- Assists in the scheduling of all home and away athletic events;
- Assists in the scheduling of all team transportation requirements;
- Assists in the arrangement of game officials, crowd supervision, and game workers;
- Serves as the Title IX Coordinator for the District;
- Serves as positive role model at all times for students;
- Maintains constant surveillance of student athletes and spectators in the facility;
- Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service;
- Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports;
- Monitors activities on the field or court to prevent accidents;
- Cautions athletes regarding unsafe practices and safety hazards; enforces and adheres to rules and regulations;
- Inspects facilities for cleanliness and safety;
- Maintains appropriate inventory control for all school and district equipment;
- Responsible for the availability and safekeeping of emergency equipment (rescue tubes, backboard, signs and other equipment);
- Follows emergency action plan and procedures established in the event of an emergency;
- Acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety in the event of an emergency;
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned;
- Complies with all rules, regulations and policies of the Governing Board.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATION:
- Valid and Proper Arizona Certification
KNOWLEDGE, SKILS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

- Computer Skills – Demonstrated competency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and typing.
- Communication Skills – Ability to read and interpret general documents such as employee handbooks and safety/training manuals. Ability to write general correspondence and speak effectively with others.
- Math Ability – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to interpret assortment of instructions furnished in variable forms. Ability to apply reason to research and solve moderately complex issues with little or no assistance.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee occasionally will stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Employee will frequently interact with the public and other staff members. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
