Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring production machinery used in the manufacturing of products. This role ensures accurate, efficient, and safe operation of equipment while maintaining high-quality standards and supporting production goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Operate manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently to support footwear production.Set up, start, stop, and adjust machines according to standard operating procedures.Monitor machine performance and identify irregularities or potential mechanical issues.Perform basic troubleshooting and notify maintenance or supervisors of equipment problems.Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet New Balance quality standards.Accurately follow work instructions, production specifications, and quality guidelines.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with facility safety standards.Complete required production documentation, labels, or logs as necessary.Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively regarding workflow or issues.Meet daily production goals and maintain consistent line efficiency.Lift, move, or position materials and products weighing up to 25–40 lbs as required.Stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for the duration of the shift. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or general education degree (GED)/Home School equivalency SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Strong attention to detailExperience with working in a fast-paced environmentPunctuality and reliable attendance Background in high-volume manufacturing preferredPositive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and high integrity Environmental Conditions: Manufacturing/Production facility with moderate noise levels.Repetitive tasks involving standing for long periods.Safety equipment (PPE) provided and required.
