Role Description The Production Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Watervliet, NY, responsible for supporting daily production operations across custom apparel, uniforms, and branded merchandise. This role coordinates production schedules, prepares orders for screen printing, embroidery, and other decoration methods, and monitors workflow to ensure deadlines are met. The Production Specialist inspects materials and finished products for quality, verifies order accuracy, and partners with the production and design teams to resolve any issues quickly. Daily tasks include organizing inventory, operating and setting up production equipment as trained, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and assisting with order fulfillment and packing. The role also supports process improvements, helps onboard and train team members on production procedures, and communicates status updates to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage Production Planning and Production Management tasks, including scheduling, coordinating workflows, and meeting deadlines.
- Strong Communication skills to collaborate with production, design, sales, and leadership teams and to provide clear status updates.
- Experience with Quality Control practices, including inspecting materials and finished products, verifying order details, and maintaining high standards.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, especially in handling multiple orders, materials, and time-sensitive projects.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on production work in a fast-paced environment; prior experience in apparel, printing, or manufacturing is a plus.
- Basic computer skills for order tracking, documentation, and communication.
