Job Summary: Southwind Construction, A Quivera Enterprises subsidiary, is seeking an experienced Superintendent. The Superintendent oversees all on-site construction activities from mobilization through close-out. This role is responsible for coordinating crews, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all contract, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Expected hire mid-May to June 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily field operations, ensuring efficient coordination of labor, equipment, and subcontractors
- Plan and execute project mobilization, site layout, and temporary facilities
- Develop and maintain short-term schedules (e.g., 30-day look-ahead) and support overall project scheduling
- Enforce safety standards, including OSHA and EM385-1-1; lead toolbox safety meetings and ensure site security
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, contract documents, and specifications
- Manage permits, environmental controls, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and communicate updates to project leadership
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, safety logs, and as-built drawings
- Support cost control by managing labor, materials, and equipment efficiently
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and project close-out activities, including punch list and final turnover
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship required-
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain required federal suitability or background clearance.
- Experience managing projects from mobilization through close-out
- Ability to communicate the project plan and sequence of activities to all subcontractors and material suppliers to effectively implement our goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with federal construction projects (e.g., U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, DOE, DoD) strongly preferred.
- Ability to use survey instruments and oversee all aspects of job layout and surveying.
- Ability to communicate the project plan and sequence of activities to all subcontractors and material suppliers to effectively implement our goals
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Construction Science, Architecture, or Engineering, or 5 years of previous experience as a construction superintendent in lieu of degree.
Certifications required within the first year of employment.

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
