- Ensure compliance with health information management standards and healthcare privacy protection regulations.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to support medical coding, billing processes, and revenue cycle management activities.
- Verify patient identities and process requests for record disclosures in accordance with health regulation policies.
- Conduct regular audits of medical records to uphold health information regulatory compliance and data integrity.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting healthcare providers, patients, and authorized personnel with record-related inquiries.
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical office settings or health information management roles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with EHR/EMR systems.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and healthcare privacy laws.
- Understanding of health regulation policies related to health information management and data security.
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail for records management tasks.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
