Position Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for resolving mechanical and electronic problems and performing various maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities and equipment. This hands-on role requires strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues. You will be working with conveyors, electronics (AC & DC), hydraulics, heavy equipment, trucks and trailers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel, and electrical systems.
- Diagnose and repair low-voltage wiring, circuits, motors, switches, fuses, and related components.
- Maintain and repair heavy equipment, forklifts, trucks, trailers, and production equipment.
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Communicate repair findings, progress, and estimated completion times with management.
- Work safely and collaborate with team members to complete maintenance projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong diesel mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with low-voltage wiring and electrical diagnostics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work 50–60 hours per week, including occasional Saturdays.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of vocational training or equivalent maintenance experience.
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience repairing mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Experience with plant or production equipment maintenance.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in indoor and outdoor environments.
- Frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and varying weather conditions.
