Paratransit Van Driver provides the opportunity to enhance the lives and
increase the mobility of hundreds of people in the Wichita community who
are unable to utilize the traditional bus system. Every day our Van
Drivers provide hundreds of trips between residences and local
destinations for employment, doctor appointments, and other daily needs.
The Van Driver is an active position that provides rider assistance with
boarding vans and securing wheelchairs or other mobility aids while
providing the opportunity to build friendly relationships with regular
riders. Paratransit riders are some of the most fun and appreciative

community, Transit relies on a dedicated team of service-oriented Van
Drivers that are able to reliably arrive fit for work on time regardless

This is responsible work that involves transporting people from one
location to another in the safest manner possible by means of a
wheelchair lift-equipped van. This position reports to a Mobility
Manager.
