WiCell, a leading non-profit stem cell services institute and supporting organization of UW-Madison, seeks a full-time Cell Culture Specialist to join our collaborative team and help uphold the reputation of quality and excellence for which we are known. The Role
The Cell Culture Specialist will join our Stem Cell Banking team and support stem cell research objectives by:
- Maintaining cell cultures including human pluripotent stem cell lines
- Preparing cell samples for distribution and shipping globally
- Supporting UW–Madison researchers through quality control testing and distribution of materials and reagents
- Performing cell assays and banking projects
- Assisting with laboratory maintenance, record-keeping and supply orders
WiCell’s Work Environment
- Work is normally performed in a typical laboratory/office environment
- Weekend and holiday work required. Schedule is determined based on a team rotation. Expect to be scheduled on weekends once every 3-4 weeks on average
- Onsite at 504 S. Rosa Road in Research Park on the west side of Madison
