Wi-Fiber is seeking a Director of Operations to lead our branch General Managers and the National Director of Safety & Compliance across our growing network of ISPs nationwide. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role will drive operational consistency, safety, and performance across all markets.

Responsibilities:
- Branch Leadership: Supervise and coach GMs; hold branches accountable to performance, safety, and service targets and consistent adherence to company operating standards.
- Safety & Compliance: Lead the National Director of Safety & Compliance; set goals, audits, and continuous improvement.
- Network Construction Leadership: Oversee and support branch teams responsible for wireless and fiber internet construction, including greenfield builds, upgrades, and maintenance; ensure projects meet safety, quality, and schedule expectations.
- Operational Standards: Establish and continuously improve national SOPs for construction, maintenance, installs, service readiness, QA, and close-outs, and roll them out across branches (with local playbooks where needed); audit each branch for adherence and consistency.
- Project Management: Run a national cadence (reviews, RAID logs, timelines) for builds, upgrades, and maintenance through GMs; provide oversight and escalation.
- M&A Integration: Work with M&A team as operational onboarding of new businesses.
- Fleet Management: Own policies for vehicle spec, acquisition/retirement, upfitting, telematics, preventative maintenance, and compliance.
- Purchasing: Set purchasing standards and approved vendors; oversee branch spend; partner with Finance/Procurement for pricing and contracts.
- Training Standards: Define required technical, leadership, and safety training; partner with HR/L&D and Safety to deliver and track completion.
- Financial Oversight: Review/approve branch OpEx/CapEx plans; monitor results; drive cost and efficiency improvements.
- Reporting & Analytics: Define clear operational KPIs for GMs and branch operations teams, and maintain a regular reporting cadence to keep the executive team informed on performance, trends, and areas needing action.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Focus on NOC/CSR/Operations integration to ensure smooth end-to-end workflows by creating, standardizing, and maintaining clear processes and documentation.
- Vendors & Partners: Support GMs in managing key suppliers; participate in strategic negotiations impacting operations or capital projects.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
- Operations Leadership: Minimum 5 years in operations leadership within telecom or ISP environments, including 2 years leading multi-site or multi-state field and office teams.
- Network Construction: Proven track record managing teams delivering wireless and fiber internet construction (e.g., aerial/underground plant, tower/WISP deployments, FTTx builds).
- Leadership & Ownership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional operations teams and consistently deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Analytical & Data-Driven: Uses project management and reporting tools (e.g., PM platforms, dashboards) to prioritize work, allocate resources, and improve efficiency.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Periodic travel to branch locations across the U.S., typically 1–3 times per month for 2–4 days at a time
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
