Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install structural components such as framing, siding, drywall, and cabinetry using hand tools and power tools.
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute project plans, including metal stud framing, door hanging, and fixture installation.
- Prepare construction sites by performing demolition, site cleanup, and material handling; operate heavy machinery for lifting and transporting materials.
- Assist with specialized tasks such as rebar installation, concrete forming, plastering, stucco application, and roofing.
- Support restoration projects by performing water damage remediation, mold remediation, water damage restoration, and general repairs.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while performing tasks like caulking, flooring installation, tile laying, electrical work, plumbing setup, masonry work, and metal fabrication.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or related fields such as carpentry, remodeling or restoration industry experience.
- Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, saws), power tools (drills, saws), and schematics reading for accurate execution of tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and construction estimating processes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with various construction disciplines including framing (wood & metal), roofing, siding installation, drywall finishing, tile laying, flooring installation, masonry or electrical experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
