Job Summary
Wholly Cow Ice Cream and Coffee is now hiring a Part-Time Barista/Scooper, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create memorable experiences for our customers!
Hours available are 10am-4pm with weekday and weekends required and approximately 3 shifts per week.
Hourly pay and tips paid weekly!
In this fun role, you will craft delicious non-alcoholic beverages, serve ice cream and other treats, and provide exceptional customer service in a lively environment. Your energy and attention to detail will help foster a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, dirty sodas, and specialty drinks with precision and care
- Scoop, serve, and manage ice cream efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
- Process retail sales transactions accurately using Clover POS system
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety guidelines
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide friendly, attentive service to enhance their experience
- Handle cash register operations including processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Support food handling procedures by following proper hygiene practices during beverage preparation and food service
Skills
- Experience with food industry environments, including barista or scoopery roles preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and sales processing
- Excellent time management to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced setting while demonstrating reliability and professionalism and work independently as needed
