Job Summary:
The Office & Production Support Coordinator plays a dual-role position supporting both administrative operations and production activities within a USDA-inspected meat processing facility. This individual works closely with the Office Manager to ensure accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and efficient office workflow, while also assisting production staff to maintain smooth daily operations. Bilingual communication in Chinese and English is essential for coordinating with staff, customers, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative / Office Support:
- Assist the Office Manager with daily administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and recordkeeping
- Maintain USDA-required documentation, logs, and reports with accuracy and timeliness
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and communicate with customers, vendors, and inspectors in both Chinese and English
- Support invoicing, order processing, and inventory tracking
- Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and company policies in all documentation
- Help coordinate schedules, deliveries, and logistics
Production Support:
- Assist production team with basic operational tasks as needed
- Help ensure production records are completed accurately and in compliance with USDA standards
- Support labeling, packaging coordination, and product tracking
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in shared work areas
- Communicate between office and production teams to ensure alignment on orders and workflow, including translation when necessary
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in an administrative or production environment preferred (food or meat industry a plus)
- Fluency in both Chinese and English (spoken and written) is required
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Attention to detail, especially with regulatory documentation
- Ability to work in both office and production environments (including cold or wet conditions as needed)
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, inventory or ERP systems)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move between office and production floor regularly
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures (including refrigerated areas)
Work Environment:
- Combination of office setting and USDA-inspected production floor
- Must follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
