The eCommerce Operations Manager is responsible for strategy and execution around supply chain, network design and customer service for our digital demand channels (wholesale, marketplace and direct ship partnerships). This role works with various operation leaders throughout the company as well as champions retailer supported solutions necessary to deliver a flawless experience. This role is directly responsible for channel exclusive product supply, increasing productivity, driving operation efficiency, improving customer compliance, managing marketplace inventory and launch of a sustainable direct ship solution.
As the eCommerce team is located outside the central supply chain reporting structure - an ability to partner with and drive results without direct reporting lines is critical. This includes close interactions with supply & operational planning, logistics, warehousing and customer service.
In this role the candidate will be responsible for leading eCommerce supply chain reinvention as we collectively service the shifting online consumer demand. This role will be expected to dive into the details of the business and distill a clear plan of action out of complex issues around direct to consumer shipping model, customer operational compliance and in-stocks. This leader is empowered to think broader than the traditional customer supply chain scope; identifying new agile distribution capabilities and communicating broadly to the organization what it takes to win operationally with our emerging digital retailers. This will require strategic thinking- a six-sigma based approach to prioritize and solve complex problems.
This role is key in transforming eCommerce into a highly agile organization to enable sustained growth.
Primary Responsibilities
- Setting the eCommerce Supply Chain & Operations strategy to maximize service levels for all direct customers
- Enable our eCommerce Sales teams to develop and grow strategic partnerships for both new and existing customers- including but not limited to direct fulfillment capabilities such as drop shipping and marketplace selling
- End to end ownership over service performance and customer measured operational compliance. Addressing key operational metrics including item availability, on-time and in-full delivery, etc.
- Account for and maintain proper inventory levels with third party marketplace and direct ship customers: Amazon Seller Central and other ecommerce retailers
- Partner with supply chain on production planning for channel exclusive SKUs and bundle packs while organizing and managing execution with third party logistic providers and CoPackers
- Develop new processes, systems and automation, in partnership with IT, to streamline and increase efficiency of order to cash process
- Explore methods of optimizing order management practices to decrease costs across any Supply Chain customer touch point that will drive profitability.
- Facilitate cross company knowledge share of operationally relevant eCommerce industry developments prompting preparation and action.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in business or supply chain is highly preferred
- A minimum five (5 ) years of eCommerce Supply Chain experience is required- preferably within CPG working across a portfolio of brands
- Strong working knowledge in ERP system required, preferably SAP or Syspro
- Proficiency in Excel; manipulating- managing- and interpreting large data sets. Minimum starting requirements include VLOOKUPS- INDEX MATCH- and pivot tables
