Requirements:
- Receiving Operations:
- Receive incoming shipments of products from suppliers and vendors.
- Inspect deliveries for accuracy and quality, checking against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Record receiving information in the inventory management system.
- Inventory Management:
- Organize and label received products for storage in designated warehouse locations.
- Update inventory records to reflect received quantities and locations.
- Communicate any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel.
- Order Processing:
- Process outgoing orders for shipment to customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Pick products from inventory based on order requirements and prepare them for packing.
- Packing and Shipping:
- Pack products securely for shipment, using appropriate packaging materials and methods to prevent damage.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation, ensuring compliance with carrier requirements.
- Arrange pickups and deliveries with shipping carriers and logistics providers.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct visual inspections of products before packing to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Report any damages, defects, or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols during shipping and receiving operations.
- Use proper lifting techniques and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities, including receipts, packing slips, and shipping manifests.
- Ensure that all paperwork is properly filed and stored for easy retrieval.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with warehouse team members, supervisors, and shipping carriers to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
- Provide updates on shipment status and delivery schedules as needed.
