Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager specializing in Manufacturing and International Supply Chain of water pumps and float switches, to lead critical projects that enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and optimize global supply chain performance. This role is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, inventory management, domestic and international logistics, and supply chain execution.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience in manufacturing or distribution environments, with a proven background in international shipping and global supply chain coordination. This individual will play a key role in scaling operations, improving efficiency, and supporting the company’s continued growth.
Duties
- Lead cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and monitor manufacturing projects aligned with strategic objectives, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
- Oversee international supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning, to optimize flow and reduce costs.
- Utilize advanced data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI to analyze supply chain performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Implement Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and Kaizen practices to eliminate waste, enhance productivity, and improve overall process efficiency.
- Manage ERP systems including MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools to support production planning, inventory control, and procurement activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or manufacturing issues to develop effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with procurement teams on purchasing strategies and inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process mapping, workflow optimization, and leveraging supply chain analytics for strategic decision-making.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports and dashboards using SQL or Power BI for stakeholders at all levels.
- Support the integration of new technologies or systems that enhance supply chain visibility and manufacturing agility.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years, of proven experience in operations management within manufacturing, distribution or international supply chain environments.
- Strong knowledge of container shipping, lead times, and import logistics.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or similar business intelligence platforms.
- Familiarity with demand planning, production scheduling, inventory management, procurement processes, and logistics operations.
Advanced Excel skills (a plus):
- Pivot tables
- VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Data analysis & forecasting
- Dashboard creation
- Cost modeling
- Proven ability to run structured meetings and drive accountability
- Experience building process documentation and reporting systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis under pressure.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing cross-functional teams across different regions or countries.
- Experience in a small to mid-sized growing company
- Bilingual (spanish or Mandrian a plus)
