Floor Supervisor – Warehouse Operations
Location: Gordonsville, TN
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift
We are seeking a hands-on Floor Supervisor to manage daily warehouse execution in our Gordonsville distribution facility. This role is responsible for supervising warehouse staff, maintaining productivity and accuracy, enforcing SOPs and safety standards, and fostering a positive, disciplined, and motivated warehouse environment.
This is not a desk role. The Floor Supervisor must be present on the warehouse floor daily, actively supervising associates and leads, correcting issues in real time, and escalating risks immediately.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling
- Assign labor and tasks based on daily workload and priorities
- Maintain workflow, pace, and order accuracy throughout the shift
- Ensure all work is performed according to established SOPs and safety standards
- Provide strong leadership and clear direction to warehouse staff
- Build and maintain positive warehouse morale through consistent communication and fair treatment
- Lead by example and promote teamwork, accountability, and professionalism
- Enforce attendance, punctuality, and workplace conduct standards
- Provide real-time coaching and corrective feedback
- Ensure consistent application of warehouse rules and expectations
- Supervise and direct warehouse leads
- Ensure leads are enforcing SOPs and instructions consistently
- Address execution issues immediately and escalate repeat issues
- Escalate safety, compliance, or operational risks immediately
- Communicate staffing issues, coverage gaps, and execution challenges
- Implement corrective actions as directed by operations management
Requirements
- Prior warehouse supervision experience required
- Demonstrated good leadership ability and experience leading teams
- Ability to build and maintain positive team morale in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable enforcing standards while maintaining a respectful work environment
- Physically able to work on the warehouse floor daily (standing, walking, lifting as required)
