Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle to deliver products to various locations, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe driving practices
- Load and unload merchandise using manual handling techniques, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment while following proper safety procedures
- Plan efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals and pickups while maintaining accurate delivery documentation
- Assist in warehouse tasks such as moving stock, organizing inventory, and preparing shipments for dispatch using manual handling tools like pallet jacks and forklifts
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by communicating clearly, answering questions professionally, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy items to prevent injury and maintain workplace safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse area to promote a safe working environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or delivery driving is highly preferred
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or appropriate driver’s license for operating box trucks or similar vehicles
- Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route driving and load & unload procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and weight handling in the workplace
- Experience with manual transmission vehicles is a plus but not mandatory
- Familiarity with forklift operation, pallet jacks, and moving equipment is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and adhere to safety protocols at all times
