Job Overview
Wholesale Fireworks is in need of experienced Seasonal Cashiers to join our team and help celebrate America's 250th

You'll only work for about 7 days with us, but it's a great way to get some extra cash as I am open from 8am to Midnight some of the days and can work with almost any availability or schedule.

No one will be working past 4pm on July 4th

Main days needed are July 1st -3rd

In this lively role, you’ll be the friendly face at the checkout counter, ensuring quick, accurate transactions while providing exceptional customer service. This position is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy engaging with diverse shoppers. As a Seasonal Cashier, you'll play a vital role in maintaining smooth store operations during busy seasons, helping customers find what they need and leaving with a positive impression of our brand.

Duties

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy and speed
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product demos when needed
• Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties responsibly
• Maintain organized checkout areas by stocking registers and merchandising supplies
• Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance customer experience and sales
• Ensure excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
• Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves and organizing displays to attract shoppers’ attention
• Assist with product demos to educate customers about new or featured items
• Manage customer inquiries professionally, demonstrating strong communication skills and retail math proficiency

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store environment
• Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members during shifts or training new staff
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on friendly phone etiquette and customer engagement
• Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts
• Strong retail sales skills with an emphasis on upselling and product knowledge sharing
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and grocery store operations is preferred
• Exceptional customer service skills to create positive shopping experiences in fast-paced settings
