Overview Seeking a reliable DSP for 3 rds . Su- Th 12mid-8am. 3 individuals live in this Lovely group home which is a hidden gem! The home has some medical issues, g-tube, etc. Must have Drivers license and high school diploma, or equivalent. CPR/FA, PMT and med cert is a plus! PCP (Person Centered Planning) Seeking choice making and building upon peer to peer interactions, building relationships, etc.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide essential support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other special needs. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and assistance in daily activities. This role requires a patient and empathetic approach, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with families and other healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals in assisted living or home health settings.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Support clients in developing life skills and promoting independence through engaging activities.
- Monitor client behavior and report any changes or concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients during transfers or mobility assistance.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients while adhering to all health and safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in patient care or a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices is essential.
- Experience in home health, assisted living, dementia care, or working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are required.
- A compassionate demeanor, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are critical attributes for success in this role.
