Job Overview There are more than 3 group homes in the Danielson area seeking 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. $18.46/hr and we require a valid Driver's License, and a minimum of a GED or more. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and quality of life.
Some of the positions hrs.
FT : 33hr/week 2nd shift
PT 24hr/week overnights
PT 14hrs/week Mornings and 1st shift
3 FT 32-40hrs/week 2 2nd shift and 1 overnight
And lastly, 2 PT positions and one FT with longer 12 hr shifts. (OT Waiver applies)
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Provide patient care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with Alzheimer’s and dementia
- Monitor vital signs and observe patients for any changes in condition or behavior
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences
- Administer medications as prescribed while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, including the use of Hoyer lifts for mobility support
- Foster positive relationships with clients while respecting their dignity and privacy
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles within home health, hospice care, nursing homes, or long-term care settings
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs
- Experience working with individuals who have autism or other developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR practices is preferred
- Ability to prepare nutritious meals while accommodating dietary restrictions
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
