Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our single-physician practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated professional who values autonomy, wants to make a meaningful impact, and thrives in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medication reconciliation, and medical histories
- Perform phlebotomy and assist with in-office procedures
- Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed
- Manage patient scheduling, check-in/check-out processes
- Handle medical records, referrals, and prior authorizations
- Maintain clinical supply inventory and equipment
- Coordinate laboratory orders and results
- Assist with front desk reception as needed
- Support practice operations and workflow efficiency
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
- Excellent phlebotomy skills with consistent successful venipuncture
- Previous experience in a medical office setting (rheumatology or internal medicine preferred)
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
