Job Title: Medical Scribe
Location: Whole Foot Care Podiatric Medicine and Surgery - Warwick, NY
At Whole Foot Care, we are dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate foot and ankle care to our community. We operate a fast-paced, highly collaborative clinic where patient well-being is our top priority. We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Medical Scribe to join our team and work side-by-side with our podiatrists to streamline patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Accompany the podiatrist into patient exam rooms to accurately document history, physical exams, treatments, procedures (such as nail avulsions, injections, or wound care), and follow-up plans.
- Navigate and maintain Electronic Health Records (EHR) with speed and precision.
- Review charts prior to patient visits to ensure all relevant labs, imaging (X-rays, MRIs), and previous notes are available.
- Assist the provider with basic clinical workflows and administrative tasks as needed to optimize daily flow.
Qualifications:
- Strong Medical Terminology: A solid foundational knowledge of medical terminology is required (familiarity with musculoskeletal or lower extremity anatomy is a huge plus).
- Exceptional Typing & Computer Skills: Fast, accurate typing skills and high comfort navigating modern software and EHR systems.
- Proactive Initiative: A self-starter who anticipates the provider's needs, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes ownership of their workflow.
- Professionalism: Excellent listening skills, strong verbal/written communication, and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Education: High school diploma required; college coursework in healthcare, pre-med, or biology tracks is highly preferred.
