What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Team Floater - Full Time position at Whole Foods Market?
As a Product Team Floater you will work together with other Team Members to assure that all objectives and goals of the departments and store, as communicated by the Team Leader/Store Leadership, are met or exceeded. You will provide excellent customer service while serving and selling the highest quality foods. And abide by the strictest standards of physical and food safety, freshness and sanitation.
Job Responsibilities
1. Fill in on any team as requested or directed by store leadership
2. Provide excellent customer service by offering immediate and undivided attention and following
through on all questions and requests; including telephone calls and pages
3. Maximize sales and profit potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, repacking,
storing, rotating, stocking product and cross merchandising.
4. Basic product knowledge and placement.
5. Effectively communicate with all Team Members regarding proper department operations
6. Keep department inventory, back stock areas and supplies well-stocked, properly rotated and
maintained.
7. Maintain accurate retail pricing and signage.
8. Document product transfers, waste and spoilage using appropriate forms.
9. Maintain passive and active sampling programs
10. Comply with all established health and safety codes, safety, food safety and sanitation procedures.
11. Practice safe use of all tools and equipment and proper care and maintenance schedules
12. Report safety violations and hazards immediately
13. Accept and properly process product from Receiver.
14. Successfully complete all department training programs and attend all department, store and
training meetings when scheduled
15. Regular attendance is essential
16. Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader/Store Leadership.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
