Early Childhood Assistant Teacher:
Whole Earth Montessori School Bothell, WA
The position of an ECE Assistant Teacher is responsible for providing instructional support, implementing planned activities, and ensuring the safety of children. This position is for a 10-month contract (September-June). This position will start at the beginning of the coming 2026-2027 school year.
Duties & Responsibilities:

- Monitor the educational, recreational, and rest activities of children, ensure children are always supervised, maintain an overview of the class using the right language, and work as a team member to guide and interact with children during age/developmentally appropriate projects and activities; comforts, and nurtures children.
- Ensure children arrive and depart appropriately and safely, and maintain records of children’s daily activities which may include incident/accident reports, medication logs, sign-in/out sheets, etc. Keep current with emergency procedures, including child safety drills, assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for children, keep supplies available and filled on the shelf for the children.
- Communicate effectively and positively with staff, attend staff meetings and professional development trainings, participate in parent education programs and other classroom activities, and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Licensing Requirements:
Positions in this class typically require:
- HS diploma or equivalent, 30 hours of Childcare Basics training

- Valid CPR/First Aid and Blood Borne Pathogens certificate, Food Handler's Permit: https://www.foodworkercard.wa.gov/
