Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough speech and language therapy evaluations as part of Independent Educational Evaluations
- Complete detailed school-based observations to assess students' functional performance in their natural learning environment
- Participate actively in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings to discuss findings and recommendations
- Prepare comprehensive assessment reports with evidence-based recommendations
- Collaborate with educational teams, families, and other professionals
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly Rate: $55-$62 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
- Commitment: 15-20 hours per IEE assessment
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate school schedules and IEP meeting requirements
- Contract-based position with competitive compensation
Required Qualifications:
- Current state licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist
- Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and special education law
- Excellent written communication skills for report writing
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assessments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience conducting educational evaluations or IEEs
- School-based Speech and Language therapy experience
- Additional certifications in pediatric assessment tools
- Bilingual capabilities (specify languages as needed)
