Our products are certified gluten free, vegan, dairy free, soy free, and egg free, and our community is at the heart of everything we do. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator who will help bring the Whoa Dough brand to life online and truly live and breathe it every day.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for executing Whoa Dough’s social media and community presence across platforms creating short form content, engaging daily with our audience, and helping introduce more people to the joy of Whoa Dough.
This is a hands on, role for someone who loves creating content, engaging with people, and building community around a brand they genuinely believe in.
This role is ideal for a creative self starter who wants to grow with an early stage, founder led brand and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.
A Quick Note on the Role
This is not a typical 9–5 job.
Social media moves fast, trends don’t wait, and some of our best moments happen outside traditional work hours. There will be flexibility and there will be times we jump on things in real time.
If you love building a brand, creating content in the moment, and being part of something growing quickly, you’ll thrive here. If you’re looking for strictly defined hours and routine days, this may not be the right fit.
What You’ll Do
Social Media & Content Creation
- Implement a social media strategy aligned with Whoa Dough’s brand goals (awareness, engagement, UGC, conversions).
- Create and post engaging short-form content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and Pinterest.
- Shoot, edit, and publish videos and photos that showcase Whoa Dough products in a fun, authentic way.
- Edit content using CapCut (or similar tools), including trending audio and formats.
- Maintain a content calendar aligned with product launches, holidays, seasonal moments, and trends.
- Identify trending sounds and formats on TikTok and test them quickly.
- Shoot seasonal and holiday baking or recipe content (Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, etc.).
- Write captions and on-screen text that match Whoa Dough’s bold, playful, feel-good voice.
Community & Brand Engagement
- Act as the voice of Whoa Dough across social platforms by responding to comments, DMs, and mentions.
- Build genuine relationships with the gluten-free, vegan, and better-for-you communities.
- Encourage, source, and curate user-generated content (UGC).
- Identify creators and fans who love the brand and help coordinate gifting and collaborations.
- Monitor trends, emerging platforms, and industry conversations to identify new opportunities for engagement.
Driving Trial & Awareness
- Help educate new customers on why Whoa Dough is different and worth trying.
- Support influencer seeding, giveaways, promotions, and sampling initiatives.
- Highlight customer reviews, testimonials, and real-life Whoa Dough moments.
Performance & Learning
- Track key metrics like engagement, follower growth, and content performance.
- Share weekly insights on what’s working and what we should test next.
- Collaborate with the broader team to support customer experience and brand initiatives.
- What We’re Looking For
- 1-2 years of experience in social media management, community engagement, or digital marketing.
- Strong Video Editing, use of CapCut to edit, add audio, adjust colors and export.
- Video experience is a huge part of our social strategy and important to have polished content.
- Photography is a plus, using a high tech camera for packaging photos/new products.
- Knowledge of TikTok Shop and experience listing products, sourcing affiliates, working with operations to ensure shipping is set up correctly, engaging with all posted videos, and monitoring our ratings.
- A passion for food, wellness, and fun snacking! (Gluten-free experience is a plus!)
- A proven track record of growing social media engagement and community participation.
- Strong copywriting and content creation skills (experience with video and design tools is a plus).
- Deep understanding of how paid and organic content and strategies work together.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment and wear multiple hats.
- Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities.
Bonus (not required):
- Photography experience for packaging or product shots.
- Familiarity with TikTok Shop or influencer programs.
