Information Technology (IT) Manager

WHKS is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Manager to oversee and strengthen our technology operations. This role includes designing and maintaining computer and network systems, while also guiding the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures that support the entire company. The IT Manager will work with IT personnel to provide technical assistance to all staff members on hardware and software issues and support the activities of computer operations at the corporate office and all branch offices.

Responsibilities Include:

• Administer and maintain all company-wide IT infrastructure and digital media including, but not limited to, computers, servers, switches, modems, routers, wiring, printers, plotters, projectors, cameras, etc.
• Administer and maintain all company software including, but not limited to, Windows, Microsoft Office, Vantagepoint, Microsoft Exchange Server, Bentley Microstation, CONNECT, AutoCad, Civil 3-D, video/web conferencing software, internet browser, etc.
• Develop, implement and maintain electronic data backup, network security, software license security, company-wide email, and project closeout/archiving procedures.
• Perform extensive hardware and software diagnostics as necessary to keep all IT systems running efficiently.
• Answer IT system users’ questions and troubleshoot computer, network, printer, email, internet, modem, and software problems.
• Work with engineering staff and management to evaluate current technologies for all services and make recommendations for upgrades and changes to improve operational efficiency and gain strategic business advantage.
• Administer and maintain all IT records, policies, procedures, training manuals, and training programs.
• Maintain IT budget based on company needs including researching, recommending, and monitoring expenses across all IT services.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or related field is required. Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis on Information Systems or Information Technology is desired.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in field of information technology.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Be available to travel to branch offices as needed to set-up, evaluate or troubleshoot IT systems. Less than 10% Travel is anticipated.
• Ability to access and work in varied environments, including confined and restricted spaces.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are required.
• Must be able to manage workload independently.
• Must maintain a professional attitude and foster positive working environments.
