Responsibilities Include
- Complete modeling and design of wastewater treatment and collection, and water treatment and distribution systems
- Prepare engineering plans, plan specifications and other contract documents for the design of water/wastewater systems including distribution and collection mains, lift stations, siphons, and treatment facilities
- Prepare design calculations and technical reports
- Research issues related to wastewater that impact individual projects
- Observe construction projects related to collection, distribution, and treatment systems
- Coordinate with engineers and technicians on a variety of challenging engineering tasks in a collaborative team environment
- Perform Project Management to include effective communication with clients to develop strong relationships, review project needs, and secure contracts
- A Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree
- 4 years of experience in water/wastewater systems design
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks at a time
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and confidently with clients, contractors and peers
- Excellent computer skills
- Experience or education in hydraulics and fluid mechanics
- Experience or education in chemistry and process design for water and/or wastewater treatment facilities
- Experience in field work and/or construction observation
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- SewerGEMS or InfoSWMM modeling
- AutoCAD mechanical drafting, AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation
