Responsibilities Include
- Municipal utility and roadway design, site design, quantity estimates, and other engineering support functions
- Design and prepare roadway construction drawings, typical/cross sections, erosion and sediment control plans, maintenance of traffic plans, stormwater management, drainage design, signing and pavement marking plans, and right-of-way plans Perform other design-related tasks, such as quantity and geometric calculations, grading plans, and roadway, utility and subdivision layout
- Develop 3-D models using Bentley CONNECT or Civil 3D software
- Provide oversight of CADD technicians to verify work is done properly and accurately
- Perform construction observation which may include:
- Conducting field-required concrete or asphalt testing
- Preparing and documenting material reports, test results and material sources
- Maintaining daily inspection logs and addressing discrepancies with appropriate parties
- Preparing and reviewing pay reports
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- EI or ability to take FE exam within 6 months
- 0-5 years of experience in Municipal or Transportation design
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent computer and communication skills
- Experience with Autocad Civil 3D and/or Bentley CONNECT
