Responsibilities

- Implement adopted educational curriculum
- Encourage teaching team success through modeling
- Plan appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth for individual and group learning
- Communicate frequently with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences
- Ensure all North Carolina’s policies and regulations are met.
- Establish and create a healthy, safe, nurturing, classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
- Build a trustful relationship, and coach teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records, forms, and files
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure goals are being achieved
Education, Experience, and Skills
- Preferred Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study with a minimum of 24 credits in Early Childhood Education
- Minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience but not required.
- Great verbal and written communication
- Familiar with Google, Microsoft, and other computer skills
- Great collaboration skills and teamwork experience
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must have a clear background check and must pass health assessment
Physical Requirements
- Whiz Kidz teachers must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, walk consistently throughout the day, and will be required to squat, crawl, and bend regularly
