What are the responsibilities and job description for the DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS position at Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School?
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must have Master’s Degree in Education and experience workforce development and career readiness preferred.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Develop and implement post-secondary programs for the District.
2.Oversee, promote and develop programs in the Adult Evening School as well as adult grant funded training programs.
3.Develop and implement recruitment strategies for the Day and Evening School Programs.
4.Process registrations, organize facility use, maintain data base, facilitate purchase orders, reconcile all funds for the Adult Evening School and adult grant funded training programs.
5.Strategically advertise and promote Evening School and Post-Secondary Programs to local communities by specifically targeting populations.
6.Work cooperatively with post-secondary institutions to develop and maintain partnerships.
7.Serve as the main contact for community engagement and outreach.
8.Provide career guidance and services to the community.
9.Promote the Mission of Whittier Tech to community members and develop meaningful relationships.
10.Assist with public events at the school, i.e. open house, advisory board, parent outreach.
11.Assist with recruitment of Grade 9 students
12.Assist students with planning and transition to school or work to ensure college and career readiness.
13.Organize and maintain continuous alumni engagement.
14.Other duties as assigned by administration.
SALARY/WORKING CONDITIONS
12 Month Position
Mondays and Wednesdays 3 – 9 pm when adult education is in session
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 7:30 am – 3:00 pm when adult education is in session
When adult education is not in session Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 3 pm
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
