$1000 sign on bonus part time (24 hours or more)
Full time 40 hours 3:00p – 11:30p, including every other weekend
$2000 sign on bonus full time
Generous shift differentials:
Weekday $2.00
Weekends $3.00

Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital is a small community hospital that does big things to help people. Our two hospital units specialize in caring for medically complex patients with a similar acuity to a medical surgical or telemetry unit. With our population typically staying for 2-3 weeks, caregivers see the same patients make progress over time.
We are currently seeking caring energetic and invested CNA staff
New and experiences CNA's are welcome to apply.
DUTIES
1. Assist patients with activities of daily living specific to culture, age and developmental level.
a. Takes and records vital signs; temperature, pulse, blood pressure and respiration.
b. Measures and records intake and output.
c. Weighs patients with the appropriate scale as directed by the licensed nurse.
d. Applies anti-embolic stockings.
3. Performs advanced skills delegated by the licensed nurse as deemed competent, reports/
records data as needed.
a. Performs fingerstick blood glucose monitoring.
b. Performs bladder scanning.
c. Collects specimens (urine, stool).
d. Sets up suction equipment.
e. Performs oral care and hygiene.
PREREQUISITES:
1) High School Diploma/GED preferred.
2) Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
3) Certificate in BLS Adult CPR

d. Positions and transfers patients.
e. Assists in ambulation.
f. Assists in toileting needs; use of bedpan, urinal, commode and ostomy care.
g. Performs range of motion exercises.
h. Routine skin care.
b. Prepares patients for meals, assists/feeds patients as needed.
c. Distributes water and other nourishments to patients.
