Welcome to the Whittier City School District, a Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade school district with eight elementary schools, two middle schools, one K-8 school, and two virtual learning academies. We serve approximately 6,300 students who matriculate into the Whittier Union High School District. Whittier City School District offers advanced technology programs, including 1:1 devices, Apple TV, and innovative instruction to support all students. Whittier City School District is one of seven local districts that join together in a Special Education Cooperative (SELPA) serving Whittier area special needs students. Proof of 48-semester college units or passing of the Aide Proficiency Exam. Please contact HR (562) 789-3074 and schedule an exam prior to the closing date. TRANSCRIPTS/DIPLOMA must be submitted by the deadline to attention of Alexis Norman, Ed.D., Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources.

Paraprofessionals who assist in classroom instruction must meet the minimum requirements of • Pass the Aide Proficiency Exam, or AA/AS Degree or completion of 48 semester college level units. • Proof of High School Graduation/GED • Letter of Interest and Three letters of recommendation. • Application and resume containing references.

  • Other (College Transcripts for 48 semester college units or pass Districts Aide Proficiency Exam)
  • Proof of HS Graduation (Minimum of HS diploma/GED )
  • Resume (Resume must include references)
