Welcome to the Whittier City School District, a Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade school district with eight elementary schools, two middle schools, one K-8 school, and two virtual learning academies. We serve approximately 6,300 students who matriculate into the Whittier Union High School District. Requirements / Qualifications
Please submit all requested documents by the deadline. Application and Letter of interest/intent, passing of the Aide Proficiency Exam or proof of 48-semester college units with high school graduation (minimum proof), three letters of recommendation and resume containing references. If an Instructional Aide Proficiency exam is requested in lieu of the 48 semester college units minimum requirement please contact HR (562) 789-3074 and schedule an exam prior to the closing date. TRANSCRIPTS/DIPLOMA must be submitted by the deadline to attention of Alexis Norman, Ed.D., Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources.
Paraprofessionals who assist in classroom instruction must meet the minimum requirements of • Pass the Aide Proficiency Exam, or AA/AS Degree or completion of 48 semester college level units with high school graduation/GED
- Other (College Transcripts for 48 semester college units or pass Districts Aide Proficiency Exam)
- Proof of HS Graduation (Minimum of HS diploma/GED )
- Resume (Resume must include references)
