What You’ll Do:
- Inspect food items and plated meals directly on the service line to ensure quality, presentation, and safety standards
- Monitor proper portioning, packaging, labeling, and temperature of all products
- Enforce cleanliness and food safety protocols in real-time during production
- Accurately document inspections and communicate findings to line leads or supervisors
- Be a frontline guardian of quality — ensuring everything that leaves our line meets expectations
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation (HACCP knowledge a plus!)
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Team player with excellent communication and observation skills
- Previous experience in food inspection, or a food production setting is highly preferred

Qualifications:
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent
Other Qualifications, Experiences and Competencies:
- You must complete all training required by Whitsons and the government as needed
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English

- The position sometimes requires extended hours including evenings and/or weekends, travel to multiple job sites, and occasional out-of-state travel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, specifically in the packaging and warehousing areas.
- Standing is required for most of the workday.
- The work requires movement in and out of warehouses, near heavy machinery and freezers.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.
