We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Staff member to join our dynamic facilities team. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Conduct repairs on electrical equipment using schematics, hand tools, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Carry out plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
- Maintain building interior spaces through painting, carpentry, and general facilities upkeep to uphold aesthetic standards.
- Operate welding tools and perform metal fabrication tasks as needed for structural repairs or modifications.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects, ensuring quality workmanship and safety compliance.
- Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents.
- Lead or assist with supervising maintenance activities, demonstrating leadership skills in a team environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), with knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical equipment repair, HVAC system repair, and schematics reading.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and testing devices such as ohmmeters confidently.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with practical experience in building interior maintenance and facilities upkeep.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and residents.
- Supervising or leadership experience is preferred to support team coordination efforts.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and perform electrical work safely following industry standards.
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques and maintenance painting best practices is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
