What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Appointment and Transportation Clerk position at Whitney Rehabilitation Care Center?
The primary purpose of your position is to efficiently and timely schedule resident medical appointments and transportation. Maintain the ancillary services correspondence for the residents. This position is supervised by the Director of Nursing Services and may include taking direction as needed from the Administrator, Department Heads and/or nurse managers/supervisors.

- Schedule/reschedule appointments.
- Schedule transports per payor source.
- Communicate with resident's responsible party regarding attending appointments and coordinating ride with responsible party if able.
- Communicate with Nursing Scheduler if C.N.A is needed to accompany on the appointment.
- Update the appointment calendar on the shared drive as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
- Ability to communicate in a kind and courteous manner.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Medical terminology experience is preferred
