What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Center Director position at Whitney Point Preschool & Daycare?
Whitney Point Preschool is presently accepting applications for a site director position. To be qualified for this position candidates must have:
A bachelor's degree including or in addition to 12 credits in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or a related field, one year of full time teaching experience in an infant/toddler classroom setting and one year supervising staff in a infant toddler program or related field, or
A NYS Children's Program Administrative Credential with one year of teaching experience and one year supervising in an infant/toddler setting or related field, or
An Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with a plan of study leading to a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field plus two years of full time teaching and supervisory experience in an Infant/toddler setting or related one, or
A CDA with a plan of study leading to a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Educaton or a related field plus two years of teaching in an infant/toddler setting and two years of supervisory experience in an infant/toddler setting or related field.
Center directors are expected to maintain the health and safety of the children in our care. The director will establish a culture that promotes the physical, mental and emotional development of every child. The center director is responsible for maintaining strong communication between our center and parents. The director is responsible for understanding and fulfilling all NYS OCFS rules and regulations and the director is responsible for staff training and the maintenance of files.
