Whitney Nursing & Rehab is hiring a Floor Nurse to oversee daily clinical care and resident routines. In this position, you will administer medications, manage wound care treatments, and update physician orders across the shift. You will work alongside hall nursing assistants to maintain clear communication and steady floor workflow.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and perform routine skin or wound care treatments.
- Document resident condition updates and complete daily charting in PointClickCare.
- Communicate care plan updates directly to attending physicians and resident families.
- Provide direction to certified nursing assistants to ensure timely resident care.
- Complete shift handoff reports and process routine physician orders.
Compensation, Schedule & Benefits
- Pay Rate: LVNs start at $32 and RNs start at $38/hr, scaling upward with experience
- Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts (6am - 6pm / 6pm - 6pm)

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Texas RN or LVN License
- Active CPR / BLS Certification
- PointClickCare (PCC) experience preferred
- Long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience preferred
- Must pass a standard criminal background check
- Must pass a drug screening
- Reliable transportation for consistent attendance
