Whitmores Tree Farm offers a unique opportunity for those aiming to work in the plant nursery or landscape industry, or for individuals who enjoy plants and the outdoors, and seek to work in a dynamic environment.

Our Tree Farm is over 200 acres of production fields and includes greenhouses and a container operation. We specialize in high-quality large trees and shrubs. Our sales office team assists homeowners, contractors, designers, Landscape Architects, and industry professionals on projects ranging from simple retail plant sales and basic plantings, to more complex landscape design and large-scale installations.

The Tree Farm Sales Manager oversees all retail and wholesale sales operations, including customer service, sales staff supervision, and organization of the sales yard. The role focuses on increasing sales, improving efficiency, reducing costs, managing all retail areas, and cultivating strong client relationships. This position works closely with the Farm Operations Manager and regularly collaborates with other company departments.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and energetic professional comfortable with diverse responsibilities.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a sales team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong horticultural knowledge and familiarity with trees, shrubs, and perennials.
• Proven experience in sales, retail management, or landscape/nursery operations.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in POS systems, invoicing, and basic sales reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain professionalism in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs repeatedly (and up to 50 lbs occasionally) and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $95,000.00 per year
