Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment according to project specifications and blueprints
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts and modifications
- Perform welding and pipe fitting tasks to ensure secure connections for water supply and drainage systems.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Use basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout planning during installation or repairs
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC technicians to coordinate project timelines and ensure quality standards are met
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction plumbing or related fields with hands-on work on construction sites
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, schematics, and mechanical principles
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and other construction tools
- Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics accurately
- Physical strength for heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces; comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic math proficiency for measurements and calculations necessary for precise installations
- Handyman experience or remodeling background is a plus for versatile project support
