Job Description:
Whitinsville Retirement Home is seeking a dependable, enthusiastic, weekend, part-time Cook to join our team and prepare delicious, home-style meals for our wonderful residents. 7:00a.m. to 2:30p.m. Saturdays and Sundays with potential for weekday shifts.
If you are an independent worker who takes pride in your culinary skills and enjoys creating a warm, welcoming dining experience for seniors, we want to hear from you! No prior professional kitchen experience is required - full training is provided.
Responsibilities:
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Check quality of ingredients
Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Manage kitchen tasks independently and efficiently during your shift.
Deliver friendly, compassionate service to enhance the overall resident dining experience for up to 18 residents
Salary : $22 - $26
