Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to oversee daily retail operations, ensure excellent customer service, and lead a team toward achieving sales and operational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with a comprehensive understanding of retail management, inventory control, and staff development. This role offers an opportunity to manage a vibrant store environment, implement effective merchandising strategies, and drive business growth through effective team management and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and developing team members to ensure high levels of employee engagement and productivity.
  • Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS transactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Manage inventory levels through effective stock control, purchasing decisions, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
  • Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing clientele.
  • Monitor store financials such as budgeting, payroll management, bookkeeping, and retail math to ensure profitability.
  • Maintain a clean, organized store environment with proper signage, pricing accuracy, and stock presentation aligned with merchandising standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Implement employee orientation programs, training & development sessions, and shift management procedures to foster a productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support staff growth.

Skills

  • Proven management experience in retail settings with supervising responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent organizational skills and the capacity for team management.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS software, cash handling procedures, and retail math.
  • Effective negotiation skills for purchasing negotiations and vendor relations.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
  • Excellent communication skills for staff training, customer service interactions, and marketing efforts.
  • Experience in recruiting, interviewing candidates, payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of merchandising strategies including pricing adjustments and stock replenishment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently with strong time management skills.
  • Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous but not mandatory. This Store Manager position is ideal for a motivated leader passionate about retail management who thrives in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
