Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and developing team members to ensure high levels of employee engagement and productivity.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS transactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Manage inventory levels through effective stock control, purchasing decisions, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing clientele.
- Monitor store financials such as budgeting, payroll management, bookkeeping, and retail math to ensure profitability.
- Maintain a clean, organized store environment with proper signage, pricing accuracy, and stock presentation aligned with merchandising standards.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Implement employee orientation programs, training & development sessions, and shift management procedures to foster a productive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support staff growth.
Skills
- Proven management experience in retail settings with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent organizational skills and the capacity for team management.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS software, cash handling procedures, and retail math.
- Effective negotiation skills for purchasing negotiations and vendor relations.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Excellent communication skills for staff training, customer service interactions, and marketing efforts.
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing candidates, payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and administrative tasks.
- Knowledge of merchandising strategies including pricing adjustments and stock replenishment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently with strong time management skills.
