• Assist with food handling procedures to maintain proper hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination.
• Support food preparation activities such as slicing, dicing, portioning, and plating to meet meal specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by following cleaning schedules and safety standards in production environments.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service and ensure timely delivery of dishes.
• Follow food safety management protocols to uphold health regulations and ensure safe food handling practices at all times.

Skills

• Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide with knowledge of menu planning and food preparation techniques.
• Strong background in food service environments such as restaurants or catering operations with a focus on safety standards.
• Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques necessary for efficient meal prep.
• Knowledge of food safety practices including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely while adhering to recipe adherence and portion control guidelines.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with kitchen staff and ensuring smooth operational flow.
• Experience in cooking, food industry standards, and catering services is highly desirable for this role.
