Job Specifications:
The Patient Service Consultant will be trained in all areas of patient services registration, patient account management, and switchboard operation.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Must be able to read or write and speak fluent English
· Knowledge of healthcare industry and medical terminology
· Comfortable using computers and data entry
· Have excellent communication skills to interact with patients, doctors, and other medical staff effectively and professionally
· Strong customer service skills to assist patients with inquiries, complaints, or needs in a compassionate and understanding manner
Job Requirements:
· Comfortable using computers and data entry
· Have good written and oral communication
· Manage appointments, including scheduling and confirming patient appointments
· Coordinate with various departments regarding patient inquiries
· Answer and screen telephone calls, take messages and provide appropriate information to phone callers
· Must be capable of performing all switchboard functions in a calm, professional manner
· Flexibility to work collaboratively with other office staff to accomplish assigned tasks
· Is responsible for other duties/functions as assigned by the manager/designee
