What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator, Water Systems position at WhiteWater, Inc.?
Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Operator I, Water is to operate and maintain assigned facilities and to actively support the Operations Lead Operator & Supervisor. The Operator will be part of an on-call rotation requiring night and weekend coverage as needed.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum up to one year of experience in water industry and working knowledge of drinking water compliance and regulations preferred.
- Active Massachusetts Water Operator License (T1: Treatment Operator Grade 1 or D1: Distribution Operator Grade 1) Preferred -OR- must be able to obtain a Massachusetts Grade 1 Water Operator License within 6 months of hire. (Employer support to obtain provided).
- Strong communication and basic computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
- Must be available for after hours and emergency on call work as required.
- Osha 10 and DOT Medical Card preferred (Employer support to obtain provided).
- Valid US Driver's License
- Ability to meet other pre-employment requirements.
