Operator, Large Water Systems Position Summary:
The Operator III will be primarily responsible for all facets of the water treatment and water supply. Assist with water system and facility maintenance and interaction with the public.
Hiring Requirements/Preferences for Operator, Large Water Systems:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Five years' experience in a similar position is desired.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Computer experience is required. Have the ability to understand and manipulate MS Office, SCADA, and RTU controls.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret and respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers. Ability to present information to top management, or public groups.
- Extremely good mathematical skills are required for this position. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Plan interpretation and regulation comprehension is essential. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- New Hampshire Grade 3 Treatment or Distribution license, or ability to attain in 6 months.
- This position is a minimum 40-hour position, 5 days per week 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with on-call duties weeknights and weekends as directed by the Chief Operator. This position May require a Saturday or Sunday as part of a normal weekly schedule depending on the exact shift that becomes open. This is also subject to change on an "as needed" basis.
- OSHA 10 General Industry Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
- Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and pass pre-employment drug screen.
- Valid US Driver's License.
