About the Role
We're looking for a Business Development & Client Success Manager to own the full client lifecycle — from first outreach to long-term account growth. This is a hybrid role for someone who thrives on the hunt for new business and has the ability to grow into the role of nurturing lasting client relationships. You'll generate and qualify leads, support executives through the sales process, and eventually take signed clients and turn them into long-term partners.
This role suits someone who wants ownership over outcomes rather than a narrow lane — you'll see the direct line from a cold outreach message to a thriving, growing account.
What You'll Do
Business Development:
- Manage the day-to-day running of outbound outreach activity using Apollo or similar prospecting platforms
- Build, segment, and maintain prospect databases aligned to target sectors, business types, and decision-maker profiles
- Research and identify relevant leads and contacts using digital tools, LinkedIn, company websites, and data platforms
- Identify, research, and generate new leads through, LinkedIn outreach, outbound email and other prospecting channels
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects
- Create and send tailored outreach messages via email and LinkedIn based on target audience, sector, and context that reflect the agency's positioning and tone
- Track all lead communications, responses, progress, and next steps accurately within spreadsheets, CRM systems, and outreach tools
- Track engagement and follow up strategically to move leads through the funnel
- Monitor outreach performance and response activity, highlighting patterns, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Follow up leads consistently and professionally, ensuring timely responses and clear communication
- Manage early-stage lead interactions and nurture conversations until handover to senior stakeholders for meetings or commercial discussions
- Coordinate internal scheduling and information flow to support smooth handoff from initial outreach to stakeholder meeting
- Support the ongoing refinement of outreach messaging, targeting logic, and lead qualification criteria
- Work independently to prioritize daily activity and make sensible decisions in the best interests of the business
Sales Support:
- Prepare briefing materials and research for executive-led sales calls and pitches
- Join business development calls to take notes, track action items, and help drive follow-up
- Coordinate scheduling, proposals, and contract logistics between prospects and leadership
- Help maintain CRM hygiene and pipeline reporting
Client Success & Account Management:
Once you have proven your ability to hunt for new business and manage the pipeline we will need you to:
- Manage Lead Generation Specialist role
- Manage onboarding to ensure a smooth transition from sales to delivery
- Build strong, trust-based relationships that support renewals and upsell opportunities
- Proactively check in on client satisfaction and flag risks before they become problems
- Coordinate with internal creative/production teams to ensure client expectations are met
What We're Looking For
- 4-6 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or client services (agency experience strongly preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — you can write a compelling cold email and also navigate a tough client conversation
- Comfortable owning outreach on LinkedIn and email at volume, without it feeling robotic
- Experience supporting or participating in sales calls/pitches
- Strong organizational skills — you can manage multiple leads and multiple client accounts simultaneously without dropping the ball
- A relationship-first mindset: equally motivated by closing new business and growing existing accounts
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, or similar)
- Management experience
- Experience in a creative, marketing, or professional services agency environment
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in B2B lead generation, outbound marketing, business development support, sales support, account management, or a similar role
- Experience using Apollo or similar lead generation / outreach platforms
- Experience managing prospect lists, outreach workflows, contact records, and campaign tracking
- Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) and reporting processes
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, professional, and personalised outreach messages
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with high attention to detail
- Confidence managing multiple conversations, follow-ups, and moving parts at once
- Good commercial awareness and sound judgement in handling external communications
- Comfortable using LinkedIn and email as business development and networking tools
- Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets and lead tracking processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day oversight
- Professional, confident, and credible communication style
- People management experience
What Success Looks Like
- A consistently full, well-qualified pipeline
- Executives walk into calls fully briefed and supported
- Signed clients experience a seamless handoff and onboarding
- Existing accounts renew, grow, and refer new business
- Low client churn and high satisfaction scores
Personal Attributes
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset, who is highly organized and process-driven
- Strong leadership skills
- Digitally savvy and comfortable operating in online business and networking environments
- Confident communicator with good judgement
- Resourceful, reliable, and commercially aware
- Able to balance consistency, personalization, and professionalism
