What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geotechnical Intern position at Whitestone Associates, Inc.?
Whitestone Associates, Inc. is a 100% employee-owned Geotechnical and Environmental consulting firm with offices throughout the eastern United States. This is a summer internship running from May/June through August, with flexible hours based on our project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Geotechnical site research;
- Field construction phase testing and inspection;
- Soil laboratory testing and coordination;
- Assisting with materials testing in our on-site laboratory; and
- Assisting with soil boring and/or test pit investigations.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; and
- Ideally candidates will have taken and passed a Soils Laboratory class.
Higher compensation than the amount listed below may be offered commensurate with experience and qualifications.
