Position Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team, with a primary focus on Outdoor Power Equipment. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of small engines and a passion for helping customers find the right solutions for their needs. This role requires someone who is not only confident in their specialty but also willing to assist and learn in all areas of the hardware store.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers with product selection and service inquiries
- Provide expert advice on outdoor power equipment such as mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, and generators
- Demonstrate familiarity with small engine function and basic troubleshooting
- Cross-train and support other store departments as needed (e.g., plumbing, electrical, tools, seasonal)
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked product displays
- Follow the assigned work schedule, including two weekday closing shifts and one weekend day
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive and helpful store environment

Qualifications
- Prior retail or hardware store experience preferred
- Knowledge of outdoor power equipment and basic small engine mechanics
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to learn about a wide range of hardware store departments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Friendly, team-oriented attitude and problem-solving mindset
