Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Construction Site Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects from start to finish. This role is vital in ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with industry-standard management and scheduling software. As the on-site leader, you will coordinate teams, manage subcontractors, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
Duties
- Lead daily operations on the construction site, supervising all onsite personnel including subcontractors and vendors to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software, tracking progress and adjusting plans as needed to meet deadlines.
- Oversee safety protocols by enforcing OSHA standards and conducting regular safety audits to maintain a secure work environment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to verify that work aligns with design specifications.
- Manage project budgets by monitoring costs, reviewing contracts, and coordinating procurement.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards, project specifications, and client expectations.
- Collaborate closely with project managers on contract administration, change orders, and resolving onsite issues promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of daily activities, safety incidents, progress reports, and quality assurance records for project transparency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a minimum of 3 years supervising projects on-site.
- Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, budgeting, blueprint reading, and construction estimating.
- Supervising experience with a track record of leading diverse teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards.
- Familiarity with contracts administration and managing subcontractor relationships.
- Deep understanding of construction site safety regulations such as OSHA compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with construction site activities across various phases of development including pipeline projects or heavy civil work preferred.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring quality control.
- Technical proficiency in schematics interpretation and electrical testing equipment like Ohmmeters is advantageous.
Pay: From $72,000.00 per year
